announce our corporate sponsorship of Paula Nadelstern's exhibit at the
American Folk Art Museum in New York City, opening April 21 and running

of Paula Nadelstern collections and books.

Right after Pittsburgh

to another trade/design show in New York, and then having a private tour
of Paula's exhibit on Tuesday May 19th. We are making arrangements so
that a group of eQuilter customers can also join us for this special

so watch for this announcement!
eQuilter's 2004 Bernina
Sweepstakes Winner!
Nancy C was the lucky
winner of our December 2004 Bernina Sweepstakes! * She picked up her new
Alex Anderson edition machine at her local dealer. Nancy lives just
outside of Buffalo, NY ... near Niagara Falls and the Canadian border.
She was so excited when
she received a call from Luana, letting her know of her sweepstakes win.
Nancy said that her own machine had just died, and that she was going to
have to give up her commitment to her church for sewing/quilting
projects. Nancy's angels must have had other plans for her - now she has
a beautiful new machine to make those quilting projects for her church.
Congratulations Nancy!
* The sweepstakes winner
was chosen by random drawing by Sterling-Rice Group of Boulder,
Colorado.

Quilts for NY Kids Project Announcement

Dear
Friends,
Sept 2002
Update:
Thank you for visiting our Quilts for NY Kids Project. As of September
2002 our project has distributed over 1500 quilts to kids who lost a
parent September 11th. They have been distributed to families of
firemen, office staff, and workers who were in service jobs - all who
were lost in the WTC. The quilts have mostly been distributed through
our personal contacts in NYC, and some have been sent directly to
families affected by Sept 11.
Kathy
Price from the Mission of Love (see our main Charity page for more info
on MOL) is driving to NYC to distribute the last batch of quilts, for
the one year anniversary - Sept 11, 2002. Our goal was to have our
quilter donors send their finished pieces to us, so Kathy could deliver
them on the anniversary. We have updated this page with a photo of this
last batch of quilts, sent out Sept 1st.
We will
continue to match up individual quilts with individual recipients as the
opportunities arise - I am still receiving requests for comfort and
memorial quilts from our NY contacts - some for adult family members of
those lost, some for older kids.

If you
would like to be on a list for any future quilt requests such as this,
please let us know via email. You can contact Natalie in Customer
Service at service@eQuilter.com
and she will keep your name on file.

of our New York distributors

Our sincere and humble
appreciation to all those who participated in this project - the quilts
we made and delivered as a group are now in the hands of hundreds of
children, and the love put into those quilts will continue to speak to
them, now and in the future, as they go through the healing process of
this terrible loss. May they receive all the love and healing wishes
that come with the gift of the quilts.
best wishes,
Luana and Paul Rubin
