A Touch of Spring was designed by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer. They wanted to add a quilt to their collection with a simple design, a traditional look, and a touch of elegance. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used when sewing the pieces onto the foundation units. Floating Spikes and Template Layout Sheets were designed to help speed up the cutting and sewing process. Curved piecing and traditional piecing skills are required to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed.
