The small egret is actually a white heron and can be seen at water's edge in a solitary dance of its own. Early morning egrets team up with lotus (hasu), rising symbolically in beauty from the mud flats below watery swirls, in this peaceful original art quilt pattern. It is an interpretation by designer Bergen Rose of a painting by artist Keiichi (Ted) Nishimura. Designed for a raw edge appliqué, it can also be adapted to needle turn.
