The struggle and determination of the lotus is a traditional symbol in Japanese culture of our own abilities to rise above adversities that life can present. This original and serene pattern also shows the moon to reflect that our creativity, like the lotus, has the seed to blossom into its own unique beauty. The pattern and instructions offer options for the beginner/intermediate quilter, and suggestions to challenge the more advanced quilter as well.
