This versatile pattern lets you try your hand at design by positioning the boxes anywhere you like. Lap and large throw sizes use 4 sections, long lap and twin sizes use 5 sections. Fabric requirements include: Main sections - 1/2 yd per section; Accent strips & frames - 1/4 yd per section, or 2/3 yd for a 4 section quilt and 3/4 yd for a 5 section quilt; Boxes - 1 fat quarter per section, or 1/2 yd for a 4 section quilt and 5/8 yd for a 5 section quilt; Optional inner border (includes binding) - 12 yd; Outer border - 2 yds large throw, 2 1/3 yds twin; Binding - 1/2 yd lap, 2/3 yd long lap; Backing - 3 1/2 yds lap, 5 yds long lap & large throw, 5 1/2 yds twin.
