Charley Harper was an American Modernist artist best known for his highly stylized wildlife illustrations, and this stunning appliqué pattern is based on his Koala design. Using a minimalist approach, he managed to capture the essence of the mother and baby koala using the fewest possible visual elements. Fabric requirements include: 3 14 yd background, backing and binding; 2 yds dk koala; 2 yds lt koala; 1/2 yd for leaves; 1 fat quarter black.
