This beautiful variegated thread from Aurifil is a long staple Egyptian cotton, giving the strength needed for high speed machines. Cotton Mako is also mercerized, giving it a sheen. Cotton Mako 50 is the finest of all weights. It produces excellent results in machine lace, along with Tear & Rinse heavy weight soluble film. It gives an elegant look to embroidery on table linens, and of course is great for buttonholes and all types of sewing. Quilters love it for piecing and quilting in both top and bottom.
