The inspiration for this unusual quilt came from the picture of the Kremlin in Moscow. The beautiful shapes in jewel tones sparkle on a black background. Fabric requirements: 3 1/2 yd for the background; 6" x 22" in following colors - warm yellow, light pink, lime green, cobalt blue, light moss-green, aqua blue, dark green; 6" x 44" in the following colors - dark pink, orange, red, purple, aqua green; for the star point and arches use all kinds of scraps in the following color groups - light and warm yellow, light and dark pink, orange, red, lime green, moss-green, aqua and dark green, cobalt, dark and aqua blue, lilac, purple; 3 3/4 yd for the backing and sleeve; 65" x 60" of batting; crystal beads, foundation and pattern paper; water erasable pen; needles, thread and thimble. 'Be Colourful - Jewel' quilt pattern, quilt designed by Jacqueline de Jonge, finished size is 59" x 53".
