Sunset Lion

Early Wednesday morning I am on my way to the airport for an event at the Renwick Museum in Washington DC. Send me a little travel prayer because I am flying into National Airport. I’ll have a good story (and lots of photos) to share on the other side of this short trip.

Today we restocked our friend Paula Nadelstern‘s most recent collection “Thirty-One”, adding to all the other favorite designs we keep in stock from her many Benartex collections. While rummaging around our latest exclusive Rubin Studio designs, I realized that this dramatic lion panel would be set off nicely with Paula’s bold color combinations. It is so much fun to play around with unexpected fabric fusions! Here, the juxtaposition of complementary colors (Blue/Orange, and Purple/Yellow) creates an exciting sequence of vibrating hues. (Translation: It makes my eyes go POP!)

Have you discovered our Design Board yet? If not, throw some beautiful fabrics in your shopping cart, go to the Design Board, and drag the fabrics onto the board. Here you can play around with different color combinations while you plan your next project. Our longtime customers say it is one of their favorite features on the eQuilter.com website!

Sharing our passion for fabric…..
