If you’ve spent much time in Alaska<\/a><\/strong> or Northern Canada, you know that picking Blueberries in the berry season is a ‘thing’…and all 3 or 4 generations of indigenous households come out to fill their buckets. There’s usually someone standing guard watching for bears, who also love to come out for Blueberry season!

This week’s Free Quilt Pattern captures<\/a><\/strong> the celebration of the Harvest Season, with all the Mamas and Grandmas (and a few grandsons) out gathering these sweet little treasures before the winter weather hits. Beloved Alaskan artist Barbara Lavallee also illustrated one of our kids’ favorite bedtime stories – “Mama Do You Love Me?” – which you have probably read to your kids or grandkids also.
