Hello from Toronto!<\/p>\n

I am here for the Quilt Canada Festival, planning to photograph the quilts tomorrow. Tonight was the award ceremony (I gave the award for best Modern Quilt) and I can’t wait to share photos of some of these beautiful works of quilt art!<\/p>\n

Lately I’ve been really missing Cuba, so I’ve been playing Cuban jazz (Buena Vista Social Club, etc.) in my studio while I work on my next quilt project. For those of you who traveled with me on one of my Cuba tours in the last couple years, I know you can relate the magic of that moment when you are watching your first Havana Sunset reflected on the Caribbean waters, with a fresh minty Mojito<\/a> in hand, and a Cuban Salsa band<\/a> playing live music in the background.<\/p>\n

Our Cuban Retro Cars are back in stock<\/a>, and we have some stunning digital beach sunset panels<\/a> now too, so I thought I’d have fun with a Cuban-themed fabric collage tonight.<\/p>\n

Next week I am going to film a couple more segments for the PBS show “Fresh Quilting<\/a>” for Modern Quilters. In case you missed my first couple clips, here is a segment from the show where I talk about Cuban Colors and Cuban Retro Cars.<\/a><\/p>\n
