Guess where I am this weekend? I am HOME! ….spending 6 days in the classroom hosting Betty Busby’s 2 workshops for FRCQ. (our local art quilt organization) Sophie is here in class this weekend too. Betty has such a great sense of humor and she is so generous with her innovative techniques, the ambiance in our classroom is joyful creativity. Wish you were here!<\/p>\n

Have you noticed how the fabric industry is *exploding* with color and creativity, thanks to the new digital printing technology<\/a>? This business never gets old for me – the creative possibilities are like an infinite ever-expanding Universe. This is not your grandmother’s quilting industry, that’s for sure. We are inspired by the past, and we stand on the shoulders of those who have laid a foundation with quilt guilds, quilt festivals and quilt exhibitions…and then we reach for the stars and create something new with those techniques that we learned as beginner quilters and budding artists. Aren’t we lucky?<\/p>\n

eQuilter is still in the process of finishing our new building and moving over the next couple weeks. It is such a busy time for us, but we will continue to offer new fabrics every week before, during and after our move. We will let you know when the process is complete.
