\nHere is a detail from Katalin Horvath’s “Aquaman” quilt, in the\nSuperhero and Comic category at Houston. The exhibit was full of superheroes\nwho fight for what’s right, and protect the innocent. There were some of these\nquilts that I only knew about…because I have kids. “Adventure\nTime”, the TARDIS, Zelda, Black Panther and Batman all made an appearance\nhere.

\nI think we live in a time where we and our kids need to be inspired by\nsuperheroes. I applaud the quilters who contributed to this category. You made\nme smile.

\nThis week we have 2 video interviews with Jacqueline\nde Jonge<\/a>, from her visit to our classroom. Jacqueline is from the\nNetherlands, and travels around the world teaching her special piecing\ntechniques. She is known for her brilliant color sense, and on top of that she\nis a lovely human being.

\nToday I am traveling to Tucson for the Color Marketing Group annual conference.\nThis is a collaborative event where color trend experts gather from around the\nworld, to forecast color palettes that will affect design choices over the next\nfew years. Then I bring that forward vision back to eQuilter, to plan our\nbuying for the next year.
