Dia de los Muertos<\/a><\/strong> is a colorful celebration that comes to us from Mexico. Dancing skeletons, sugar skulls<\/a>, and flowers are all a part of The Day of the Dead, which honors friends and loved ones who are deceased. <\/p>\n

Now it is celebrated in the Southwest<\/a> US as an extension of Halloween<\/a>, with brightly decorated sugar skulls<\/a> and costumed skeletons blending tradition and art trends into an excuse for food<\/a>, drink<\/a>, music<\/a> and dancing. <\/p>\n

This week's Exclusive eQuilter Free Pattern<\/a><\/strong> brings the vivid colors and dancing images to life in a lighthearted Day of the Dead quilt. Get out the salsa<\/a> and nachos<\/a>, whip up some margaritas<\/a>, and turn up the Mariachi CD<\/a> for this project!<\/p>\n
