October Means Quilting Weather
I hope you took a peek at the
Tea for Two collection - we are so excited to have a beautiful Vintage Teatime group of fabrics now in stock! I have been previewing Quilt Market releases from several companies the last few weeks, and you have probably seen me grumble about an over-saturation of cartoon artwork in the quilt industry the last several years. We are always on the lookout for luscious detailed artwork that shows the talent and exceptional craft from the most talented designers. That's why we still look at about 150,000 products per year, to pick out our exceptionally cherry-picked group of eQuilter products for our customers who also have an appreciation for high quality artwork. We are now curating our selection of fabrics that will be shipping in early 2023.
In a couple weeks I'll be headed North for my Polar Bear tour, with an intrepid group of quilters and crafters who are joining me. I hope to capture some stunning images of the bears, to share with you around November 1st. In the meantime you can enjoy photos of bears from previous trips, on my photo pages.
Sophie Quinn got into the pit orchestra for the CU production of La Boheme, and she is so excited! However it is the same weekend that I'll be up in Churchill on the edge of the Arctic Circle. Darn! But I am excited that our shared love of opera and classical music has led her to this great experience. I have many fond memories of being 'in the pit' from my musician days. She calls me after the rehearsals, bubbling with excitement.
For all of you dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, we hope you and your home and family, your cats and dogs, your sewing machine and your stash, all made it through the storm ok. Big hugs to all of you dealing with the stress of the aftermath. We are donating to hurricane relief for your communities.

We are putting together a relief effort for Florida. Please ship your donated comfort quilts directly to her in Ohio, unless you can drop them off in person at our office. (Do NOT ship to our office please.)
