Crazy Cat Ladies - Unite!

April 19 is National Cat Lady Day:
To celebrate one of our favorite holidays (tongue firmly planted in cheek) we are featuring lots of NEW kitty fabrics, and restocked FAVORITE cat fabrics for all of you Ailurophiles....you know who you are...

Last night our daughter Sophie Quinn gave her junior recital and it was a bittersweet moment. Her final piece was a violin duet she used to play with her mentor and violin professor at CU Boulder. We lost Chas to cancer in January 2023, which was the reason she transferred to MSU in Denver. Now she works for the Colorado Symphony on weekends (in Patron Services) and goes to school during the week.

This recital was a major accomplishment and we are so proud of Sophie Quinn!

When she was 3 years old, she asked to play the violin. I said - Sweetie, they don't make violins that small but if you still want to play when you are 4 years old we can get you a violin.

On her 4th birthday she asked me again, and soon after she had her first Suzuki lesson on a tiny 1/10th sized violin. And by the way, when she was found and taken to the orphanage at 2 days old, they gave her the Chinese name which means "Musical Heart". She still has a musical heart!

Next week I am going to a private event in Washington DC. Because it is associated with the Smithsonian I was not sure it was going to happen, but I will tell you more about it next week. In the meantime I urge all of you to speak up for funding of the arts and museums in the US.

For those of you celebrating Easter, we wish you a peaceful weekend with your loved ones.

sharing your love for fabric,
Luana and Paul
