Hen Rietta the hen is made by fusing individually selected fussy-cut flowers, leaves and a variety of prints to a lightweight base cloth in a beautiful arrangement all your own. Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process. Full size pattern is included. Material requirements include: (11) assorted scraps OR fat eighths in cream to yellows and green for the background; (10-12) assorted floral fabrics for chicken body; (2-3) scraps of feather prints for chicken body; (1) scrap of blue for beak and legs; (1-2) different white fabrics for underlay of the chicken body; 4 yds or more of 24" fusible web; appliqué pressing sheets; 1/4 yd binding; 1 yd fabric for backing.
