These adorable lemurs are pieced using pre-cuts, yardage and traditional piecing methods - no templates or paper piecing. Use contrasting fabric to show off the striped tails and inquisitive eyes. Solids or fabric that reads as a solid works best. Material requirements include: Pillow Cover - 2 squares 10" x 10" for lemur; 5" x 5" square for ears; 1/8 yd white; 1/8 yd dark; 3/8 yd background; 5/8 yd backing; 1/8 yd binding. Supplies needed: 24" x 24" batting; 2 pieces 18" x 24" batting; 1 5/8 yds muslin lining; fabric marking tool; 20" pillow form for pillow. Small - 4 squares 10" x 10" for lemur; two squares 5" x 5" for ears; 1/4 yd white; 1/8 yd dark; 1 3/8 yd background; 2 1/2 yds backing; 3/8 yd binding. Supplies needed: 40" x 49" batting; fabric marking tool. Lap - 40 squares 10" x 10" for lemur; 20 squares 5" x 5" for ears; 1 1/4 yd white; 1/8 yd dark; 3 3/4 yd background; 4 3/4 yds backing; 5/8 yd binding. Supplies needed: 68" x 80" batting; fabric marking tool. This project is recommended for those comfortable with small pieces and use of a rotary cutter.
