This beautiful thread from Aurifil is a long staple Egyptian cotton, giving the strength needed for high speed machines. Cotton Mako is also mercerized, giving it a sheen. The 80 weight is lightweight, making it a dream for handwork such as needle-turn applique or English paper piecing. Thin yet strong, it can be used in machine work when your stitches need to disappear or as a bobbin thread. And, it comes on a cute wooden spool! Suggested needle: 70/10 or 60/09. 100% Egyptian Mako cotton long staple, mercerized thread. 80 wt, 300 yds/274 m, Color #2783. Made in Italy.
