Flowers abound in this 60's inspired collage pattern featuring a vintage VW bus made by fusing pieces of a variety of prints to a lightweight base. Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process and includes a full-size pattern. Material requirements for the sky include: 4" x 11" to 6" x 11" of 7 different light blue to green fabrics with slight print; 6" square of 1 very light blue/cream fabric; 18" x 11" additional light blue/cream for sky. Material requirements for the ground include: 12" x 11" of fabric with cream background and light floral design; 6" x 11" of 2 different brown/cream fabrics; 6" x 11" of 2 different fabrics with floral motifs 1 green, 1 cream. Material requirements for the Love Bus: 6" and 6" x 11" of 2 different light fabrics with slight print for windows; 3" x 22" of light pink/cream fabric with leaves for top of bus; 6" x 11" of 2 different pinks for the window outlines; 6' squares of 3 different blacks and 1 gray for wheels, mirrors and wipers; 6" square of cream/metallic for headlights; 6" squares to 6" x 11" of 11-12 additional fabrics for doors, bumpers, seats, peace sign, hubcaps and trim; 6" square to 12" x 11" of 14 or more fabrics for the floral cuttables, trees, flowers for the trees, leaf accents, butterflies, hearts, person, license plate and rainbows; 7 yards or more of 12" wide Steam A Seam 2 Fusible Web(eQuilter product WAST5440); 1 yard of pattern ease foundation; Applique pressing sheet or precision fusing mat; 6" x WOF for 1/4" single fold binding; 1-1/4 yd of fabric for backing.
