This pattern is a unique piece of art, just as your own finished quilt will turn out to be! The spool of thread is made by fusing individually selected fussy-cut flowers to a lightweight base cloth in a beautiful arrangement all your own. Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process. Full size pattern is included. Material requirements include: Fat 1/4 stripped fabric for thread; 3" x 5" fabric for top of needle; 3" x 22" of fabric for needle; 24" x 5 1/2" Vintage neutral fabric; (5) Scraps up to 8" x 11" for wooden spool; 5" x 11" floral vine fabric for cuttable; (9) 5" x 11" cuttable butterflies, birds, vines, leaves, flowers, and numbered fabric for tape measure; (9) 10" x 11" dk fabrics for background; 1/4 yard for binding; 3/4 yard of Pattern Ease foundation; 3 1/2 yards of 24" Steam a Seam 2.
