Created by two friends in Reykjavík, Iceland, in 2013, Omnom is led by passionate chef Kjartan Gíslason and entrepreneur Óskar Þórðarson. Omnom produces small-batch, “bean-to-bar” chocolate, using the finest cacao beans sourced from around the world. Together, Gíslason and Þórðarson challenge the understanding of bean-to-bar chocolate production and the way flavors and textures can creatively expand the business.
Omnom’s mission is to make the best chocolate possible using the highest-quality ingredients. Each one — single-origin cocoa beans from Madagascar, Tanzania and Nicaragua; organic sugar cane; natural Icelandic milk powder — is individually sourced with care, placing ethics, sustainability and transparency at the heart of the process. Sustainability starts with traceability: Omnom buys ingredients directly from farmers to further help assess the social, environmental and economic impact of its purchases.
Omnom’s aesthetic is uniquely both baroque and minimalist, inspired by fantastical creatures, surrealism, pop art and contemporary Nordic architectural design. Omnom is visually defined by its tattooed bestiary.
Unlike traditional chocolate bars, Omnom’s chocolate doesn’t come in squares, but rather in geometrical shards. Handmade in Iceland in small batches, Omnom offers premium single-origin chocolate, Iceland-inspired bars, and seasonal flavors.
Ingredients: Organic cocoa beans, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter, Icelandic milk powder, aromatic caramel (sugar, glucose syrup, water, butter, cream, salt, raising agent (sodium bicarbonate)), emulsifier (sunflower lecithin), colouring glazing agent (E171, E172).
Store in a cool & dry area. Designed and made in Iceland, in a facility that handles gluten, nuts and dairy.
