Soy Soft batting is 50/50 soy organic cotton blend manufactured in the USA. Soybean protein fiber has the luster of silk and the feel of cashmere. Not just for looks, the breaking strength of soybean protein fiber is higher than wool, plain cotton and silk. Soybean and cotton fibers are punched to a thin scrim so no binders or resins were used in it's production. Soy Soft's unique construction makes it ideal for machine quilting up to 8" apart, and it will not shift or shed through the cover of your quilt. For a hand sewn look do not pre-shrink simply use right out of the package. This batting will shrink approximately 3% after washing. Pre-shrink it by soaking in warm water for 15 minutes, roll and squeeze in a dry towel, allow to dry flat or in a dryer with a cool gentle setting. 90" x 108" QUEEN SIZE batting, 50% soy/50%cotton, by Moda.
