Creative Nudge – Joy of COLOR!

Untitled-1

I love Color.

I’ve been entranced with the Magic of Color since I was a kid. During the years that I studied classical painting, I relished the opportunity to study color, to learn about Color Theory, and to look at a landscape or flower or person and see the colors that most people don’t see.

Learning to See Color with a Master Colorist was an absolute thrill.

When we started our business in the basement of our house, I told Paul I wanted our company to be all about BIG bold juicy fabulous COLOR.

Now I want to share more of The Joy of Color with our eQuilter Friends!

At the very end of Spring Quilt Market I was in the Aurifil Thread booth, with a tray, picking out color combinations the way some of us pick out truffles in a chocolate shop. (*drooling!*)

These 5 color collections (eQuilter Exclusives) are the result of that effort, and I hope they will inspire you to take some Color Adventures of your own!

This morning I’ll be on a plane to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham UK, and I hope to see many of you at my lecture on Saturday afternoon, or the artist panel I am moderating right afterward. Both are in the Festival Theater – and eQuilter is a sponsor of the theater. Please do come and say hello if you see me at the show!

If you can’t make it to England this weekend, come to see this same Power Point lecture (and the Quilt National exhibit!) at the Dairy Barn on Sept 2nd. I will add in photos of quilts from the Birmingham show to the Sept 2nd lecture.
