Getting Organized for 2015

Welcome to all of our new Kiwi subscribers! We're happy to have you!

Oh gosh, it is so hard to be missing the Tokyo Quilt Festival this weekend, but that was a conscious decision to go to the quilt convention in New Zealand this year. I have a friend who is going to share some photos with me so I will share them with you in the near future!

Watch for more photos from New Zealand in our Midweek Creative Nudge newsletter.

Now that the holidays are behind us and I am looking for the color and fabric trends of 2015, guess how I started out the year? Placing orders for Christmas/Winter collections for 2015! Yes this week I sat down with sales reps and ordered lots of holiday fabrics that will arrive this spring and summer. It is always so surreal to be buying next Christmas' designs a few weeks after putting away all the holiday decorations. Just one of the funny things about this business!

Just a Heads-Up – this week I have a Bernina tech guy coming to my studio to do a tuneup on my Artista 200 so I can offer it for sale with a warranty and free classes at my local Bernina shop. This is the machine on which I made my 2nd and 3rd Bernina Fashion Show ensembles, so there is some history on this great machine! If you want information on this machine before I offer it for sale publicly, drop us an email and we'll give you first dibs.
