This pattern is a unique piece of art, just as your own finished quilt will be! The bird is made by fusing individually selected fussy-cut flowers and paisleys to a lightweight base cloth in a beautiful arrangement all your own. Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process. Full-size pattern is included. Material requirements include: For Backgrounds - 6"x11" of 10-12 cream prints; 6"x11" of 3-4 lt pink prints; 6"x11" of 2-4 lt green and lt blue prints; 6" squares or scraps of 10-11 lt prinks to creams; 6" squares or scraps of 6-7 lt yellows; 6"x11" focal print for collage border; Underlay Fabrics, Mane and Tail all with a slight print - 6"x11" of 4 pinks in different values plus 2 additional scraps; 6"x11" of 5 md and dk purples plus 2 additional scraps; 6"x11" of 7 greens to teal; 6"x11" of 3 yellows to gold; Long Sections of Mane and Tail - 6"x22" of 5-6 pinks, yellows and purples; Cuttable Large Scale Florals - (1)spiky black flower for eyelashes; (2)different large scale florals for nose and eye; birds and butterfly fabrics for background; 12"x11" of 2-3 more large scale yellow fabrics; 6"x11" vuts of florals including 7 pinks; 2-3 greens, 2-3 creams, 2-3 blues, and 2-3 purples; 5"x11" for horn; 8-10 yards of 24" wide Steam-A-Seam 2; 35" x 47" Pattern Ease or other foundation.
