Schmetz Chrome Jersey/Ball Point Needles penetrate between the fibers of the fabric with less resistance, not through the fibers like a sharp needle. Chrome plated and stay cooler longer with less stitch distortion while allowing the thread to pass through the needle eye with less friction and less heat build-up. They are best suited for knit and some strech fabrics. The medium ball point does not damage or break knitted fibers.
