This beautiful thread from Aurifil is long staple mercerized Egyptian cotton, giving it both strength and a soft sheen. The thick 12 wt opens up our sewing to more creative possibilities. Use for hand embroidery as a substitute for stranded threads, big stitch quilting and bobbin lace gimp or other embellishments. In the machine this thread will produce beautiful effects in machine sashiko, redwork, free standing lace, and long-stitch embroidery or quilting. Perfect for button holes, top-stitching, and other heavy-duty uses too. Suggested needle: 14/90 or 16/100. 100% Egyptian Mako cotton long staple, mercerized thread. 12 wt/2 ply, 356 yds/325 m, Color #2715. Made in Italy.
