Piecing and applique come together to make this starburst adorned with floral and animal motifs. Pattern includes applique templates and instructions for the recommended method of applique preparation, in addition to an acrylic template for the star. Material requirements include: 8 1/2 yds background; for star - 1/2 yd blue points at tips, 3/4 yd pink, 1 1/4 yds green, 1 1/2 yds yellow, 1 3/4 yds orange, 1 1/4 yds maroon; various fabrics for appliques; 1/2 yd brown for stems; 9 yds backing, king size batting, 1 1/2 yds binding. 'The Broken Star' quilt pattern by Kim McLean. Finished size is 98" x 98". Includes a 2" diamond acrylic template with a 1/4" seam allowance.
