60" wide Hand-Dye, color stripes are about 12” wide and run from selvedge to selvedge so we recommend ordering at least 1 1/4 yds to enjoy the full color spectrum. The fabric is handmade with nontoxic colorfast dye by Langa Lapu - an Eco friendly company in a rural community in South Africa. Please handwash in cold water with mild detergent, line dry. This striking hand-dye is handcrafted with use of the natural elements and gorgeous, eco-friendly dyes, and can therefore never be exactly reproduced. Created by a collaborative of local residents and limited by the necessary sunny season, these fabrics offer a rich reflection of the mountains, forests, fires, rivers, and foliage of South Africa. The fabric is composed within environmentally sensitive boundaries and the company recycles whenever possible as well as employs unemployed women from the local community.
