Hazel Nutt the squirrel is made by fusing individually selected fussy-cut flowers, leaves and paisleys to a lightweight base cloth in a beautiful arrangement all your own. Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process. Full size pattern is included. Material requirements include: (7) fat eighths for background; (10 - 12) assorted fabrics from 6" to fat eights for fussy cut pieces; For squirrel you will need a variety of colors in 6" x 10" pieces: 10-12 different reds, pinks oranges; 10-13 different rusts; 4-5 different purples; 2-3 different blues; 10-12 different yellows; 2-4 different browns; 8-10 yds fusible web; 1/4 yd binding; 1-3/4 yd backing.
