This bold, colorful and iconic log cabin pattern is simple yet versatile taking the traditional 3-5 rounds of strips to 7-9 rounds with thin strips and features the use of ombre prints and several suggestions as to how to lay out the blocks to create unique secondary patterns. Material requirements include: (3) 1/4 yards of blues or turquoise colors of choice for the center squares; (16) 1/2 yard cuts of various ombre prints in a variety of colors, if doing the larger quilt, increase to 3/4 yard cuts; (20) colorful Fat Quarter blenders of choice; (8) 1/4 yard cuts of ombre prints for the border, for larger quilt and another 1 yard of ombre of choice; 1/4 yard black solid for binding, 1 yard cut for larger quilt; 2 1/2 yards wide backing, for larger quilt increase to 3 yards; 90" x 90" batting or 103" x 103" for larger quilt.
