This is the nonwoven product used by artist/teacher Betty Busby - which she paints and cuts (on a digital cutting machine) to make her intricate layered designs. Evolon AP 58 gsm can be used like canvas. Doesn't need to be primed, no layers to worry about, foolproof for stretching, never sags. Can be misted with a spray bottle to emulsify a dry or thick medium. Then you can draw on top of the paint. Dries flat - does not stretch and maintains perfect registration. Dampens instantly, loves ink, can blot up to 5 times its weight in water - great for dampening Japanese papers. Dries rapidly and absolutely flat. If you wring it when wet, or launder it, will turn from a sheet to a soft fabric. Archival, inert, UV resistant, tear proof & dimensionally stable. No plasticizers, additives or fillers. Also used to gallery-wrap prints.
Available at eQuilter in 20 sheet packets and by the yard. Evolon AP 58 gsm. Pure polyester/nylon, archival quality, nonwoven split microfiber sheet. 22" x 30", 20 sheets. This packet of 20 sheets will be rolled or folded in a package for shipment.
