Girls Sizes 2-12

Like its adult counterpart, this romantic cloak for young maidens is a picturesque reminder of the voluminous full-length woolen cloak worn by rural Irish folk for centuries. In every detail it is a replica of Folkwear's highly popular Kinsale Cloak for adults and makes an adorable garment for a favorite young lass. The "little sister" version is fully lined and hand-gathered into a wide collar, falling in small unpressed pleats to a curved hem. The cloak fastens at the neck with a large hook and eye, and offers an optional detachable hood that buttons to the cloak under the collar. It may be worn loosely over the head or down over the shoulders as an overcape. Suggested fabrics: Velvet, corduroy, denim, wools, hand-woven fabrics, heavyweight silk, microfiber. Includes sizes 2 to 12. Fabric requirements for cloak: 2 7/8 yards to 4 5/8 yards of 45" wide fabric. Fabric requirements for hooded cloak: 3 1/2 yards to 5 1/4 yards of 45" wide fabric. Kinsale Cloak for Young Maidens pattern by Folkwear, Sizes Girls 2-12.
