This pattern is a unique piece of art, just as your own finished quilt will turn out to be! The hummingbird is made by fusing individually selected fussy-cut flowers to a lightweight base cloth in a beautiful arrangement all your own. Laura Heine has included detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process. Full size pattern is included. Material requirements include: 1 yard for main background; 9" x 11" background accent; fat 1/4 of two large scale floral fabrics for flowers and leaves; 9" x 11" of three additional large florals for flowers; 6" x 22" of red/pink fabric for the bird head and wings and large flower; 4" x 11" each of a green fabric & blue fabric for accents in the bird tail and wings; scrap of fabric with a dragonfly and small moth; 4" x 11" of two different dot fabrics for the large flower; 9" x 11" of stripe fabric for the flower stems; 1 yard of backing fabric; 1/4 yard of optional binding; 20" x 24" artists canvas or optional binding if desired; 2 1/2 yards of 24" wide Steam a Seam 2 'Humming Bird' quilt pattern by Laura Heine of Fiberworks inc.
