A pair of flamingos with two distinct personalities create a fun theme for this fusible collage quilt pattern! Laura Heine has provided detailed instructions about her technique to guide you through the process and included all necessary pattern stencils. Material Requirements include: 12" 36" or so of a collage print for background; 6" x 11" of 6 different light yellow/green fabrics; 4" x 11" of 2 different purple fabrics for accents; 5" x 11" to 6" x 11" of 8 different light to medium pinks for the light colored flamingo; 6" x 25" of a striped mottled fabric from light pinks to purples to blues for the light flamingo and parts of the dark flamingo; 6" x 11" or so of a large-scale light pink to orange floral fabric for the head of the light flamingo; Scraps of 4 additional floral fabrics for cuttable accents on the light flamingo; 12" x 11" of 2 darker red to pink fabrics for the dark flamingo; 5" x 11" of 2 different dark colored mum fabrics for the dark flamingo; 12" x 25" of a very large scale medium valued floral for the feathers on the dark flamingo; 12" x 11" of a large feather fabric for the head piece of the dark flamingo and feathers in the light flamingo; 6" x 11" of 2 very light pink to peach fabrics for the beaks; 5" x 11" of black batik for the beaks; 6" x 11" of poppy fabric with dark centers for the eyes; 4" square of black dot fabric for the eyeball; 6" square of teal fabric with cuttable scrolls for head piece accent; a few additional floral fabrics for the bodies of the flamingos for shading; 1 fun cuttable bird and 1 cuttable butterfly; 1/4 yard for binding; 1 yard fabric for backing; 10 yards of 12" wide Steam a Seam 2 (eQuilter Product WAST5540); 1 yard of Pattern Ease foundation; 17" x 24" fusing mat.
