Use fusible applique to create this mountainous Alaskan wall-hanging featuring the Aurora Borealis dancing in the northern sky above a lone polar bear watching amongst icebergs with the colorful picture of the sky reflecting on the water. Purchase the materials required to make just the single block, or increase the yardage (this amount will be in parenthesis) to combine it with the other blocks to make the complete 5-block wall hanging "Aurora Nights: Across the Flats." Material Requirements include: 1/6 yd(1/3 yd) dark blue solid; 1/8 yd(1/4 yd) medium blue solid; (1/2 yd light blue solid - needed only for complete quilt); 1/6 yd(1/2 yd) pale blue solid; 1/4 yd(3/4 yd) Aurora (multi-colored hand-dye); 1/6 yd(1 yd) black appliques & inner border; 5/6 yd (2-1/2 yds) sky, outer border & binding; 2/3 yd(2 yds) batting & backing (45" wide); and 1 yd(3-3/4 yds) fusible web (Steam-A-Seam 2 Lite fusible web (eQuilter product: WAST5424)).
