Designed with the transitional seasons in mind, the Tamarack Jacket is a warm and stylish quilted coat perfect for spring and fall layering. Follow one of the two quilting designs included, or design your own to make your Tamarack totally original to you! You'll stay toasty thanks to the inner layer of batting, while the roomy welt pockets will keep your belongings safe and your hands warm. Suggested Fabrics: Main and Lining fabric - light to mid-weight cottons, linens, chambrays, and blends; Batting - high quality cotton, wool, bamboo or blend. Material Requirements using 45" fabric: Main Fabric - 2 3/4 yard sizes 14-26, 2 7/8 yard sizes 28-30; Lining Fabric - 2 7/8 yard sizes 14-24, 3 yards sizes 26-30. Material Requirements with 54" fabric: Main Fabric - 2/12 yards sizes 14-28, 2 5/8 yard size 30; Lining Fabric - 2 1/2 yards sizes 14-28, 2 5/8 yard size 30; Additional Requirements: 1/2 yard extra fabric OR 7 yards 1/2" wide double fold bias binding; 1/4 yard of 22-25" wide fusible interfacing; Twin Size or 72" x 80" high quality quilt batting; 4 coat hooks & eyes for View A, 4 heavy duty snaps for View B.
