This two-fabric applique beach and surf design is elegantly simple! Just lay the applique fabric on top of the background fabric, and cut away the parts of the applique fabric that you don't need, exposing the background fabric! No templates, no numbering system, no positioning of small pieces to create the design. What could be easier? Materials Needed: 3/4 yd (or 1 yd if used to bind the quilt) background fabric; 3/4 yd (or 1 yd if using to bind the quilt) applique fabric; 3/4 yd backing; Applique thread to match the applique fabric; 39" x 27" batting; 39" x 27" double-sided fusible web. 'Gone Surfing' 2-fabric applique quilt pattern, finished size is about 36" x 24", designed by Connie Johnson Sayler.
