I've been buying from eQuilter for about a year. I am fairly new to quilting, the fabric from eQuilter is the best quality and the variety is amazing. I like to make symbolic quilts, that is use fabric that is symbolic of something special to the person I am making the quilt for. I love the search engine because I can just put a key word in like: wolves, bongos, girls, fishing, Italy.. whatever it is, and find the most unique fabrics. Everyone says, 'where did you get that fabric..we never saw anything like it'. Another reason is the quality of the fabric. It is far and above what I found in the local fabric store. I admit I may have strayed or been distracted by a free shipping or big clearance from another site, but when it comes down to it eQuilter is heads above. I also love the find this color feature. I have picked out a fabric I love and used that feature to build a quilt. Lastly, check out the Pattern and build your own. My grandchildren love it. My 15 year old grandson spent an hour last night, picking his main fabric and trying all kinds of companions until he found just what he wants. It was very cool. I love EQuilter! The website is superb: the search engine takes you wherever you want to go...you can search colors, designs, designers, brands, types of fabric, and it's all broken down logically. Once you start to look at fabric, you can see the exact colors, and really get a feel of how it will look when you receive it. Then, there is the design-wall feature! Compare and contrast! Also, you can 'key' on various colors in a print, and see what they're called, and find colors to coordinate. If you're not ready to purchase, use the 'Wish List' and park your favorites there 'til later.
All this happens before you order! Once you order, service is fast, and impecable. I have gotten order confirmation, shippng confirmations, and delivery confirmations! When you open up the box, your order is on a piece of paper with colored photos of what you ordered from the site, signed by the person who packed it! And it's all wrapped up in tissue paper, with a little sticker. It makes you feel special and your package is a real 'event'!
Best part of all (can you believe there's more?!), is that this company gives to charity, and has compassionate hearts. You can read all about it on the site--almost 1 MILLION dollars has been donated to help others. Luana's photos and blogs of her many travels are amazing as well. I send friends to this site all the time. If I can't find what I want at my local shop (or if it's closed, and I have insomnia!) EQuilter is my 'no-brainer' first choice! We received several yards of Imperial Fusions: Kyoto Willow Leaves in Wisteria/Gold, and the beautiful fabric had been neatly packaged in lavender tissue paper. Your site is truly the most user friendly fabric site I use. The color referencing and design board make eQuilter.com my "go to" favorite for online fabric shopping. I use the color referencing to find matching fabrics without having to trust a photo to know if the colors are the same. There is even a tab to show other related fabrics. Once I have chosen my fabrics I can go to the design board to visualize the fabrics together. In addition as a registered user, eQuilter keeps all of my past orders and I can save the thumbnail picture of the fabric and import it into EQ7 when I am ready to use the fabric in a quilt design. Luana, I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how wonderful I think your selection and service are. One would think that living in the San Francisco Bay area I wouldn't really need to shop the web for quilting fabrics. But it is so much easier to shop with you than drive in the traffic to a store that might not have what I'm looking for, even though I know it exists! I am always so pleased to receive you parcel, and so touched that the return address is your name, not the company, and my fabric is wrapped in pretty tissue. Hi Luana!! I got home tonight (Friday) from work and I see that I received your package. I was so excited!!! The fabric is beautiful!! You were right, the dragonfly fabric is more beautiful in person!!! I also have a question. The fabric that was stapled on your card was (is) neat!! Where can I find it on your web site? I was really interested in the second one that look kinds brownish-purple, no pattern on it. It is hand dyed. Really all three of them are very nice. WOW!!!!! I saw your advert on Quiltopia mailing list, and just HAD to come in and browse... Of all the sites I have bookmarked, I can honestly say...this is the BEST site I've seen in THREE YEARS online! Your Fabrics are to DIE FOR!!! I'm on the Japanese right now, still drooling. (that's saying something since I LOVE traditional and folk art)....I'm in HEAVEN!
